QUEENSTON LIBRARY
(BUTLER'S ARTIFACTS LECTURE)
May 15/04 Margaret and I were at the Queenston Library, attending a seminar put on by Willowdale and the archaeologists who did the dig at Colonel Butler's Homestead. It was an absolutely fascinating morning. The archaelogists shared information with us, and they very generously allowed us to handle and help sort some artifacts that had been found on the dig. There were pieces of clay pipes, porcelain dishes, etc. There were also some Native projectiles dating from thousands of years B.C. It was so exciting! We wanted to share some pictures of that day. This picture shows a display of some artifacts, site maps, etc. ![]() This picture shows a close-up of the sorting process. ![]() This picture shows, if you look closely into the circled area, an orb. There was a time during the seminar that the library lights dimmed and then brightened again. Also, we captured some evps on our tape recorders, a few of which you can find on the evp pages of our site. ![]() |
