                                        FORT GEORGE - Page One

If you want to experience ghostly phenomena -  hear something, be touched or breathed on by something, see strange mists or something moving at the corner of your eye, or at the very least hear some good ghost stories, you really should go on the Ghost Tours at Fort George (May-Sept., and Hallowe'en Tours).  Check out their website.

The picture below was taken in the tunnel at Fort George, after a Ghost Tour.  At the time the picture was taken, there was no one in the tunnel except my son (in foreground of picture - his face has been whited out by his request), and my husband, who took the picture.  The two figures in the background were not apparent until the picture was transferred from the camera to our computer and the monitor screen was lightened.

This is a close-up of the above picture.

Margaret took the picture below on a Ghost Tour on June 27/04.  Toward the end of the tour, she turned back and took this picture of the Officers' Quarters.  Upon lightening the picture, she discovered the figure of a person standing outside the window.  Look to the left of the lighted window, at the bottom, and you can see the head and upper body.  The other tour group was nowhere in sight at the time this picture was taken.

Rick took the picture below on July 4/04.  It's the side of Blockhouse One.  There appears to be a weird brown mist below the bottom window.  Below this picture,  I've zoomed in on it to see it better.

Margaret took the picture below on July 5/04.  I've zoomed in and cropped it to see it closer, and there appear to be circular orb shapes within it.  It's definitely a very interesting shape in the sky over the fence (palisade) at Fort George.

The picture below was taken on Sunday, July 18, 2004 in the Barracks.  At the outer edge of the "married quarters", you can see one of the hoops from the game of "Graces" hanging on the bedpost.  These games are usually kept in a basket on the floor in this area.  The hoop isn''t hanging straight down from the post - it appears as if it's being pulled out to the side.  Also, if you look just below the hoop, between the blanket and the wood post, you'll see a man's face.  He appears to be angry.  The 2nd picture is a close-up of the man's face.
